Shopfronts and re-fits Leamington Spa
So again like Sash Windows a lot of Shopfronts in the Leamington Warwick and Stratford upon Avon area are listed. This means if you want to change the appearance or the design of your shop front. A fee has to be paid, roughly half a thousand pounds! Plans have to be submitted and they can be refused. If you would like plastic or aluminum or double glazed units just forget it. That’s not going to happen , and I’m glad for three reasons:
1. Wood is the best material , period
2. Everywhere would lose its traditional look and feel
3. It keeps me and my friends food on tut table. (yes i have friends)
Laminate Glass
Also laminate glass being your only option and its downfall being condensation if your a shop owner you will know all about it. The advantages being the safety , two layers of glass with a sheet of plastic in between , so if it shatters it wont break . IE if someone falls into it or try’s to break in , and trying to break in through laminate glass is fairly stupid .
What we can do

If you have a piece of glass spanning your whole shop front we can put in a mullion, planning permitted or not if your not listed and try to split the size off the piece of glass. Advantages being it’s cheaper to replace a smaller bit of glass in the future if broken.

36hr Shopfront
Like this example above we turned three bits of glass into eight .I will have to apologize about my appearance but like the sub heading proclaims we had a schedule. These sort of affairs usually go long through the night and into the next day! Especially with this job, sometimes the whole thing can be pre-made in a workshop and fitted within a day . Monday morning you will want to be open for business regardless and we will insure that happens and insure everything’s secure until then.
Stick with me kid you’ll wear diamonds
We need apprentices, not just us the whole country does, especially with the whole looming brexit thing. Its a good life kids honest and meaningful. Wouldn’t now be a great time to manufacture young tradesmen and tradeswomen and great products. A bit like the IRFU yes the Irish Rugby Football Union. If your not into sport or the likes then this is a great time to leave this off subject blog but before you do the jist of it is a success story. If you like an old story then hang on a few…

The IRFU
I’m gonna put it to you like this sheep to people ratio Ireland 4.7 million sheep to 4. 6 million people.
NEW Zealanders are known for their love of two things — sheep and rugby.
Sheep are part of NZ’s identity and the source of many well-loved jokes.
But the Kiwi sheep flock is shrinking.
There used to be 20 sheep for every person in NZ.
Now the latest statistics from Beef and Lamb NZ show it has fallen to about seven to one, or about 30 million sheep.
The sheep-to-person ratio is still higher than Australia’s, where there are 74 million sheep to 23.5 million people — a ratio of three to one.
About 3,000,000 people live in wales and it is estimated that there are about 11,000,000 sheep so the ratio is 11 sheep for every 3 people or 3.7 sheep per person.
Britain’s sheep are vanishing . . . and part of our history is disappearing with them
22 million sheep in England , look its obvious although my heads still hurting from the math. There is some sort of conspiracy between sheep and rugby and if Ireland are the country to look to considering there recent rugby success. You may note the balance its one to one nearly one sheep one man !!
OK now there is sheep to ratio of land and do u know what I am not even going into that because off subject twice and my main point was Ireland rugby success…
Young Lads

The secret to Ireland’s rugby success in such a small place is breadth and depth . Also massive organisation and collective memories from heroes such as Paul o O’Connell and Keith Wood and old Willie john McBride Inspiring the youth to go training to work hard . Trust me Willie is side stepping in his grave right now . Because we won the six nations Grand slam also followed by a away tour win to Australia and then a win over the Almighty all blacks while many Irish stars sat on the injured bench.
Weather its Munster Leinster or the up coming Connacht for such a small island it is a rugby Ireland ,and its taught young like the hurling and Gaelic football but it’s taught well.

Young lads proving themselves and being given the big stage and doing very well on it. A very well oiled machine they have become. Wish them luck this year and hope they are successful as last year and in the World Cup. Or is it the healthy Sheep ratio ?
Apprentice Carpenters
Probably not as attractive as being a professional rugby player. Maybe a tad safer and a great trade to learn now. Even if your hi tech. Tech is everywhere now and it’s in the joinery world to stay so we might as well embrace it. Machines will still need a operator or programmer. 3 yrs your on top money if your any good, and few young lads its great laugh plenty of banter. The best days I have had at work has been working with three or four apprentices.
Troublesome at times but once you get that machine oiled, bit of healthy competition between them it can be very productive and before long they will try and be faster then me. Learning at pace gets theses guys ready for the real world and gives them ability’s to earn a lot of money on price. So if your young, or you have a son or daughter or even a Gender fluid teenager we will give anyone a trial to see if it suits them. Collage can be organised if its something they can see themselves doing.
Thanks Martin.
